Camden"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The architect Neave Brown lives within the estate he designed which stands in the rectangle formed by Fleet Road to the north, Southampton to the East, Dunboyne, private and within estate to the South, and Parkhill to the West.\u00a0 He refers to it as Fleet Road so that&#8217;s the one I&#8217;ll go with.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/singleaspect.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/fleetrd_1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8404\" style=\"border: 0pt none;\" title=\"FleetRd_1_th\" src=\"https:\/\/singleaspect.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/fleetrd_1_th.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">A gated estate.\u00a0 Normally I just wander around these things unchallenged.\u00a0 You should see <a href=\"https:\/\/singleaspect.org.uk\/?p=8289\">Branch Hill<\/a>, all very cosy and twee but open and &#8220;permeable&#8221; as the saying goes.\u00a0 Not this one.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/singleaspect.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/fleetrd_2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8406\" style=\"border: 0pt none;\" title=\"FleetRd_2_th\" src=\"https:\/\/singleaspect.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/fleetrd_2_th.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Gated off from the street.\u00a0 <del>Probably because the architect lives there and doesn&#8217;t want anoraks like me wandering around.<\/del>\u00a0 Well fair enough but it rather goes against the grain of modern thinking.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/singleaspect.org.uk\/?p=3936\">Holly Street<\/a> anyone?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/singleaspect.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/fleetrd_3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8402\" style=\"border: 0pt none;\" title=\"FleetRd_3_th\" src=\"https:\/\/singleaspect.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/fleetrd_3_th.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">It&#8217;s not obvious but these photographs were obtained by poking the lens between the bars of the gates.\u00a0 Never mind.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>UPDATE:<\/strong> 6\/9\/11 I am reliably informed that Neave Brown was not responsible for the gates which were put up by the council and that he has been campaigning to have them removed;
