“One of the things that came out from the Q&A after last night’s film showing was that Alice Coleman ran into problems when trying to alter Alton West because by the late 1980s many of the flats had been sold under right to buy, and the then owners didn’t want the changes she was recommending, whereas with council tenants they could have been implemented straight away.”
